Terms of Service
Last updated: September 2026
1. What Unheard is
Unheard is an anonymous space to share feelings. It is not a crisis line, a therapy service, or a substitute for professional mental health support. If you are in immediate danger, please contact your local emergency services.
2. Who can use Unheard
You must be at least 16 years old to use Unheard. By using the service you confirm that you meet this requirement.
3. What you may not post
You may not post content that: contains hate speech, harassment, or threats; shares personal information of others (doxxing); contains spam, advertisements, or external links; promotes or provides instructions for self-harm or violence; or violates any applicable law. Content moderation is automated; we also accept community reports.
4. Content ownership and licence
You retain ownership of what you write. By submitting an echo you grant Unheard a limited, non-exclusive licence to display it anonymously to other users for the duration of its lifetime. After expiry, it is permanently deleted.
5. Moderation and removal
We reserve the right to hide or remove any content that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines, at our discretion and without prior notice. Echoes reported by three or more users are automatically hidden pending review.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
Unheard is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee uptime, data persistence, or fitness for any particular purpose.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Unheard and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
8. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Unheard after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
