Community Guidelines
Last updated: September 2026
Unheard exists because everyone deserves to be heard. These guidelines exist to keep it a safe, warm space โ not to censor genuine emotion, but to protect the people who come here at their most vulnerable.
โ What's welcome
- Sharing personal feelings, struggles, joys, and reflections
- Venting anonymously without fear of judgment
- Expressing grief, loneliness, hope, or gratitude
- Writing in any language
๐ซ What's not allowed
- Hate speech, slurs, or content that demeans others based on identity
- Threats of violence against yourself or others
- Instructions or encouragement for self-harm
- Personal information about other people (doxxing)
- Spam, advertisements, or external URLs
- Sexual content involving minors
๐ก๏ธ How moderation works
All echoes pass through an automated content filter before being published. If content mentions self-harm, it is still published โ you deserve to be heard โ but crisis resources are shown to you. Echoes reported by three or more readers are automatically hidden. You can report any echo using the ๐ฉ flag button.
๐ If you're struggling
Unheard is not a crisis service. If you are in immediate danger, please contact emergency services or a helpline in your country.
